‘Large widescreen displays are becoming more and more popular, especially amongst gaming enthusiasts. The ViewSonic VX2435wm 24″ Widescreen LCD has elegant styling and loaded with features, but falls short on overall display quality, especially for the computer user. I found this display next to impossible to set the correct color, contrast and brightness for my liking. No matter what I tried the display always seemed too bright. This can be resolved though with the video card color properties. Big is not always beautiful
The Viewsonic VX2435wm is under examination at 3dGameMan. As the name hints it is a 24″ widescreen LCD, with a resolution of 1920×1200 and 8ms gtg and HDCP support for HDMI and DVI. They found the text to be perfectly sharp but had some problems with the brightness being too high, which is a good thing for some viewers. Unfortunately, the size slows down the response rate to the point where ghosting is evident during intense gaming, so it seems this monitor is more suited to other uses.
