Meet The ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7800 XT OC Edition

A Faster RX 7800 XT, Or Just More Expensive?

The ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7800 XT OC Edition sells for about $30 more that the reference edition and sports a 2213MHz Game Clock which is an 89MHz jump, and 2520MHz Boost Clock that is 90MHz higher.  If you use ASUS GPU Tweak III there is an additional option that sets the card to a slight more impressive 2254MHz Game Clock and 2565MHz Boost.  The memory clock remains at 19.5Gbps, unless you manually adjust it, in which case you could even see 2541MHz in game, and get an extra gigahertz out of your memory.

In testing you only get a handful more frames when compared the reference card to the Radeon RX 7800 XT OC Edition, however there are some hidden benefits.  The extra cooling on the card means it is the coolest running card of this class that The FPS Review have benchmarked.  That means less power used and lower fan speeds which lead to a quieter experience.  If those two attributes are important to you, that could easily justify the extra $30.

Take a peek at the full review here.

Under ASUS’s models of AMD video cards, ASUS offers two different cards based on the Radeon RX 7800 XT currently.
