5120×1440, 240Hz And An 1800R Curve

If you have the space to put it, Philips has an impressive new display for 2024.  The Evnia 49M2C8900 is an impressive 1.2 metres across, otherwise known as 47″, due to it’s ultrawide design so not every desk can handle it.  If you can you will be able to enjoy the quantum dot OLED colours, measured at sRGB 143.9% and near 100% of both DCI-P3 and AdobeRGB.  It is also possible to hit HDR1000 with this display, if your eyes can handle it.  The refresh rate tops out at 240 Hz thanks to AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and it is G-SYNC compatible as well.

The monitor also includes Philips Ambiglow lighting to make the monitor look even bigger than it is, with matching lighting shining on surrounding flat surfaces.  The inputs include HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-C port that supports DP-Alt mode and 90W power delivery.  You will also find a four-port USB 3.2 Gen1 hub with two of them offering fast charging, an audio jack and four 7.5W speakers which pleasantly surprised KitGuru with their quality.

One last nice surprise, it sells for $1100 which is a couple of hundred dollars less than other similar displays

The Philips Evnia 49M2C8900 was announced slightly earlier, at the tail-end of 2023, but is still jaw-dropping thanks to its second-gen QD-OLED 49in 5120×1440 super ultrawide panel. Oh, and did we mention it's 240Hz?
