The Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 56 Limited Edition 8GB HBM2 with Tri-X dual ball bearing fans and Vapor Chamber cooling bears a name almost as long as the card itself. There are some interesting physical features, such as easily removable Tri-X dual ball bearing fans for cleaning and the ability to connect case fans to your card. The improved cooler design is not able to defeat the overclocking limits which both Vega cards seem to have, however it does ensure very quiet operation which may be a more attractive benefit to some users. Miners would rather have the
Miners would rather have the smallest card possible to save space get the most cards crammed on a rack! Miners underclock/undervolt to get the least Power-Usage/Best Hash-Rate that is optimal for maximum return on investment. But the miners will be all over this card regardless because they need all the Vega Shaders(Hashing Coins) that they can get their hands on.
If you want to game then Nvidia has the less shaders and more ROPs(GTX 1080Ti has 88 ROPs) compared to The Vega 10 die based Vega 56/64(64 ROPs respectively) or the GTX 1080(also 64 ROPs). So the GTX 1080Ti has the 88 ROPs and the pixel fill rate that comes with those 88 ROPs to really fling the frames out there for gaming.
Miners could mostly care less about ROPs and anything other than compute on the shader cores. So Miners love Vega’s shader heavy designs compared to Nvidia’s shader defficient designs. An AMD used Vega 64 is going for higher than the price of a New GTX 1080Ti and some Vega 64 owners are selling their use Vega 64 and getting a GTX 1080Ti and still having enough cash remaining on the deal for plenty of pizza and beer while thay game on the Ti.
Vega is a hashing monster and AMD can not make enough! So look at those Brick and Mortar retailers’ empty Vega GPU shelvs they look like the bottled water/bread shelves right before a big hurricane, empty as hell.
