4K, 138Hz For Your PC Or Console Thanks To HDMI 2.1

If you’ve met someone with an OLED then you are familiar with how they feel it compares to any other panel technology.  In fairness, the previous generation of OLEDs pale in comparison to the current models, and they have resolved several of the issues which existed when OLEDs first hit the market.  The biggest is the speed of the display, both response and refresh rates.

The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG42UQ is capable of displaying 4K at 138Hz, assuming you have a GPU that can drive that.  Console users can get 4K at 120Hz, thanks to the magic which happens inside those tiny AMD powered boxes.  You need HDMI 2.1 to support that refresh rate, though the monitor also offers DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0.  It also sports a hole on the very top to allow you to screw in a webcam, light or other accessory.

Check out how well ASUS did with the PG42UQ in TweakTown’s full review.

The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG42UQ gaming monitor is absolutely beautiful: 41.5-inch 4K 138Hz OLED panel, that needs to be married to the GeForce RTX 4090.
