A Broader Look At NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Founders Edition

$400 For 1080p Performance, Hold The Extra Memory

$400 is now the price point for mid-range GPUs, like it or not.  It might be a bit high compared to historical card prices, but then again what isn’t?  It is far more affordable than the $1000+ price tag associated with the high end GPUs for sale now, and if NVIDIA can keep stock levels up then they have a winning product here.  AMD doesn’t have anything to match the price to performance of the RTX 4060 Ti, as you can see in Sebastian’s review.

His review as well as the ones below all deal with the 8GB model, which should be available tomorrow.  There will be a 16GB version released next month to assuage the crowds that believe there is no place for an 8GB graphics card in 2023.  The extra memory might be enough to push the card to perform well as a 1440p GPU, however this version of the RTX 4060 Ti is marketed as a 1080p card.   The equivalent AMD card would be the RX 6650 XT, released at the same $400 price point and RX 6650 XT, and as The FPS Review shows in their review the RTX 4060 Ti offers a lot more performance at that price.

On the other hand if you are running a RTX 3060 Ti you are not going to see much improvement overall.  If you are two generations of NVIDIA behind however, this might be a card you should consider for your next system upgrade.

In today’s review, we will take a full look at the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Founders Edition video card. While this video card is geared for the 1080p gameplay experience, we will test it at 1080p with and without Ray Tracing, as well as 1440p to see if it has what it takes to make the 1440p gameplay experience playable.
