Let’s Go Overclocking

The release of AMD’s Radeon RX 7600 met with mixed reviews thanks to the great 8GB rebellion.  If you do not consider 8GB of VRAM to be some sort of heresy and are considering it in a build then you should check out The FPS Review’s look at overclocking the card.  They chose to use the latest Radeon driver to perform the overclock, so there is a good chance that you will be able to replicate their findings.

The first step was to feed the GPU more power, with the driver topping out at a 12% boost in power; safe enough if not as high as you might like.  The same is true of both the memory and GPU frequencies, which also sport hard limits somewhat lower than you might hope.  The RAM tops out at 2400MHz, 150MHz higher than default, while the GPU can only be boosted 100MHz which pushes it to 3GHz.

The overlock did have a small positive effect on performance and the card was perfectly stable.  The Radeon RX 7600 might not offer as much of an overclock as you might wish, but if you are looking for an easy to implement and stable overclock then this card might be a good choice.

Is there any gas left in the tank on the new AMD Radeon RX 7600 when you overclock it? In today’s overclocking review, we take the new AMD Radeon RX 7600 and overclock it as far as we can, and see what the performance uplift is from overclocking. If you have been wondering how to overclock the Radeon RX 7600, this guide should help you.
